Moderate= Doesn't micro units out of projectiles and precise monk conversion, economy is 10 seconds delayed when the ai calculates the plan. Hard = Micros units away and monks very effcetively play against ranged units. economy and builders are very effectively divided. Very Hard = Same as hard but the income gather rate is increased by 10-20%
Ageof Mythology had more unique factions. With 5 different civilizations, each with 3 gods, it felt like each civ was a lot more unique then in Age of Empires. The 3 gods per civ felt a lot like the individual Civilization of Age of Empires, providing unique units and tech on a standard template.
StandardAI can't even get up to castle age while I can get to imperial by 1 hour. Some of the players (I like to play 2 v 3) don't even have basic military buildings let alone stage an army. At one point I was like post imperial and two of the players were still at feudal without any military buildings.
